Receiving the 2025 TFAA Prize for Acting from The Future Awards Africa marks a special milestone in my career. It arrived exactly five years after I was honoured with the same prize in the Content Creation category. To be acknowledged again, now for acting, feels like a quiet but powerful affirmation of growth; from creating short-form characters that sparked laughter and reflection to inhabiting complex roles that demand emotional depth and precision. The Future Awards Africa has long celebrated young Africans who are shaping their fields with purpose and excellence. To have my work in acting highlighted in this way is deeply humbling. Acting allows me to explore human experiences — joy, struggle, resilience, contradiction — and to present them in ways that resonate with audiences far beyond the screen. This prize acknowledges not only the performances, but the commitment to telling Nigerian stories with honesty and care. The year 2025 was already filled with extraordinary milestones: films that connected with millions, collaborations that pushed creative boundaries, and moments of collective celebration for Nigerian cinema. This award sits among them as a reminder that sustained dedication to craft, even through quiet seasons of preparation, eventually finds its echo. I am currently immersed in several new projects — work that feels fresh, challenging, and full of possibility. I look forward to sharing them with you when the time comes. Above all, I am grateful to every person who has supported this journey: from the earliest viewers who shared a single clip, to those who fill cinemas, engage with the work, and continue to offer encouragement. Your belief has made every step possible. Thank you for being part of this story. May the years ahead bring more meaningful work and more shared moments of impact.
